Abstract
Respect to other European countries, the “Spanish cultural delay” allowed a better advantage of the medieval tradition. The Tree of Knowledge of Lazaro Diaz del Valle specify the painting and drawing subjection to Geometry, one of the Seven Liberal Arts. In this way, he was participating in the essential discussion of art theory at Siglo de Oro: the painting liberality. .Downloads
