The symbolic construction of the ecological in urban spaces. An approach from image
Abstract
This article analices the landscape esthetic construction emanated from the green capitalism simbology and explores the phytophilia iconosphere (love for greenery) that has turned from fictional symbolic representations to the reality of urban spaces. We´ll take a tour from an artistic look and through the photography of fake sustainable landscapes as a result of a cultural construction of the ecological. Consumption system has taken this greenery iconographic construction to build a new economic model to keep growing. Digitized society has assumed this false ecological transition as a new aesthetic myth with which to renew the narratives of consumer society.
