Alcalá de Henares in Celebration: the Chivalric Spectacles of 1548
Abstract
Alcalá de Henares was, at the beginnig of 1548, the scenery of chivalric entertainments and pageantry in honor of prince Philip. Nothing was known about this festivities until today, when some documentation from the archives of Simancas can provide many interesting facts about these celebrations, and heps to put them in relation to others that took place in the youth of the heir Prince.Downloads
