The castle of Coca and the Fonseca. New contributions and considerations about its architecture
Abstract
Unpublished papers about the Coca castle let us determine the dates of its construction, know the masters who conducted it (Master Farax an Alí Caro for the fortress in the XV century, and Diego Rodríguez and Juan de Ruesga for the palace innner part in the XVI century) and precisely distinguish the two campaings pioneered by Alonso and Antonio de Fonseca brothers. It also gives us notice of the insertion of geonese marble windows and columns by Antonio at an early time, wich increases the interest of the building.Downloads
