Abstract

Claire Lejeune’s works are extremely complex both in aesthetic and thematic. Her style is ambiguous and fascinating, producing an ensemble of books that are intimate related by a common philosophical and poetic discourse. The writer has used the narrative technique of patchwork to explore the limits of the texts and she has produced an enormous saga of essays. They create the illusion of an artisan work always revised and continually reformed. Lejeune has become a kind of post-modern Penelope or a new Arachne who tries to subvert the solid statements of the occidental canon of literary essay. By changing this genre, she has produced a sui generis style.
