Ecofictions and semantic basins: mythologies of the end of the world in The Walking Dead and Raised by Wolves
Abstract
We are witnessing a cultural paradigm shift, in which the religious vision of humanity "overlaps" with the advent of an atheistic, positivist and scientific vision. The objective of this article is to investigate, through two series on digital platforms (“The Walking Dead” and “Raised by Wolves”), defined as ecofictions, how the Durand semantic basins give birth to this trend, in which a new "inflation" of the river with a titanic name is glimpsed. Thus, the famous benefactor of man continues to emerge in the postmodern apocalyptic and posthumanist antiutopias, as a modern sage, prophet and civilizing demiurge of the new world.
