Our analysis focuses on the presence of the French poet known as Saint-John Perse in Spanish Transition poetry in the works of Jaime Siles and Blanca Andreu. Saint-John Perse as well as Siles were inspired by a series of lithographies of Braque entitled Birds, which led both poets to meditate on the very process of creation. Saint-John Perse also left a profound mark on Blanca Andreu first collection of poems De una niña de provincias que se vino a vivir en un Chagall, emblematic of the impact of the French poet ample verse and plastic images, that contributed to release Spanish poetry during the Transition.
