Time and utilities. Narrative of farmers around the free time
Abstract
This investigation carries out in the municipality of the Vega Alta (Región of Murcia) and has as intention understand the meanings of the social use of the not productive time associated with the agricultural labors. The study approaches the meanings of the use of the time of leisure as a part of the process of production: the central position of this activity like dispute of the time of work; the availability on the use of this time and his aptitude to generate identities. The theoretical premises throw light to a few activities that go beyond the time of rest. The qualitative methodology is served the analysis of the stories of the subjects to think about the sense of the not productive leisure / time and his usefulness.
