El trabajo del profesorado en las universidades públicas españolas, un estudio de caso
Abstract
En el presente artículo se explora el contenido del trabajo del profesorado universi-tario, su estructuración y su relación con el entorno económico e institucional. El contexto en el que se realiza es el de la sociología del trabajo universitario que se desarrolla desde hace dos décadas en algunos países europeos.
La exploración se efectúa mediante un estudio de caso: el de la universidad de Va-lencia. La información procede de entrevistas en profundidad a profesores de distin-to estatuto. Los hallazgos ponen de manifiesto el carácter múltiple y heterogéneo del trabajo universitario, el peso del estatuto del profesorado y de la cultura orga-nizativa del departamento en su estructuración, y la influencia del entorno, singu-larmente, en tiempo de crisis, en su contenido y desarrollo.
The work situation of Faculty in Spanish public universities: A case study
In this article, the content of the work of university professorship, its structure and its relation to the economic and institutional environment is explored. The context in the one that is realized is that of the sociology of the academic work that deve-lops for two decades in some European countries.
The exploration is effected by means of a study of case: that of the University of Valencia. The information comes from interviews in depth to teachers of different statute. The findings reveal the multiple and heterogeneous character of the univer-sity work, the weight of the statute of the professorship and of the organizational culture of the department in his structure, and the influence of the environment, singularly, in time of crisis, in his content and development.
