¿Identidades líquidas en América Latina? Una lectura desde los obreros mexicanos
Abstract
La investigación de este trabajo se centra en nuevas categorías sociales de obreros surgidos de los procesos de restructuración de la industria siderúrgica nacional me-xicana (1980-1995): los «ex» obreros y los sobrevivientes al despido. Estos trabajado-res han estado realizando esfuerzos por darle una continuidad a su identidad obre-ra, unos fuera del mundo de la fábrica y otros dentro del espacio fabril; sus experiencias cuestionan las tesis de la fragmentación de las identidades. En este estudio se analizan las dificultades para pensar el trabajo y las identidades obreras en América Latina desde las perspectivas sociológicas posmodernas.

A reading from mexican working class
The study is about social categories of workers that emerged from the restructuring process of the Mexican iron and steel industry (1980-1990): The «Ex» workers and survivors of dismissed. Workers who have been making efforts to continue a worker identity, some outside the world of the factory, others within the manufacturing space. Experiences that question the theses of the fragmentation of identities and the studies the worker identity in Latin America since the postmodern sociological perspectives.
