Abstract

Ruth Schaumann wrote more than 90 books in five decades, from the 1920's to the end of the 60s. However, this author is currently almost forgotten. Through one of her most successful novels, entitled Amei. Eine Kindheit (1932), I will offer some of the keys to her creative writing and I will try to analyze what the reasons which led to her subsequent invisibility might have been.
Ruth Schaumann escribió más de 90 libros durante cinco décadas, desde los años 20 hasta casi finales de los 60, sin embargo esta autora está en la actualidad prácticamente olvidada. A través de una de sus novelas más exitosas, titulada Amei. Eine Kindheit (1932), ofreceremos las claves de su creación literaria e intentaremos analizar cuáles pudieron ser los motivos que provocaron su posterior olvido.
