La reafirmación del ideal femenino sensibilista en Die berühmte Frau y Die Geschlechter de Friedrich Schiller
Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse Schiller´s women images in the poems «Die berühmte Frau» and «Die Geschlechter». In our opinion women images reaffirm the sensibilist ideal of the «schöne Seele» in both poems. Schiller identifies the virtuous ideal of woman with the concept of «Anmut» in the essay «Über Armut und Würde». Schiller´s woman ideal is a clear example of the feminine type which is defended as a complement of man by some illustrated currents. In «Die berühmte Frau» Schiller shows the subordination of women like the only way to keep harmony in the bourgeous family. On the other side, the author justifies a passive and sensible femenin model in «Die Geschlechter» in order to express the ideal of totality, although this totality implies for women a secondary position in the relationship with an active and passional male model.Downloads
