Abstract
Quejío, a play directed by Salvador Távpra, performed by La Cuadra de Sevilla and advised by the writer, director and critic José Monleón, was premiered in 1972. From the texts written by the group and its advisors, as well as those produced by national and international critics, a well defined image of the play is formulated, showing an interest in its identification with the "popular". This article explores this concept as the main element of cohesion in the dissemination of Quejío.
