Visual (trans)senses of a deviated accent

Abstract

The object of research of this article is the visibilization of the Andalusian transfeminist identity and the desertions/returns of the Andalusian people. My object of study is situated in an area of knowledge production and subjectivity construction, which is crossed by political issues and that arises from an autoethnographic experience, in which my working-class, Andalusian and transvestite origin is the backbone of the corpus of my own research. The first part analyzes a case study, the (eclipsed) story of an Andalusian woman and artist, Manuela Uceda Guirao ---my mother-- from an autoethnographic perspective through her voice and family archive images. The second investigates the migrations suffered by the transfeminist identity of the Andalusian people through a post-transvestite imaginary.
