Abstract

The purpose of this paper is contributing to the analysis of the international insertion of Central America in a context of open regionalism. International insertion is analyzed through 3 pillars: trade strategies, attraction of investment and participation in regional and global value chains. The successful intra-regional integration process becomes a springboard that facilitates a dynamic international insertion process.
