Repensando y revisando el concepto de cacicazgo en las fronteras del sur de América (Pampa y Patagonia)
Abstract
Here I follow my own proposals dealing with the political institution of cacicazgo (chiefdom) and its changes among indigenous groups of Pampa and Patagonia, in the late eighteenth century. The main objective is to evaluate them in light of others colleagues’ academic production and the debate over centralized societiessegmented societies, already established in previous literary work. I seek to renew the discussion about some useful concepts such as: the skewing effect of secondary situations related to certain changes in economy, politics and other aspects of indigenous life that determines the presence of a more complex society.Downloads
