Communication and Good Life in the Amazon: Dialoguing Criteria for the Decolonisation of Indicators
Abstract
The present article is a theoretical debate and a practical experiment on the limits and possibilities of formulating census methods to measure the transformations in “communication for the Good Life“, or “the Good Life in communication”, based on a dialogical ethnography with popular communicators carried out in the Brazilian Amazon, and in dialogue with theories by indigenous and non-indigenous anthropologists.
