Sketch for a Scheme: Domestication and Early Agriculture at the Argentinean Northwest
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present an update of issues regarding to plant domestication, early agriculture and the first productive societies of the Argentinean Northwest. Through a critical review of recent advances in these issues, the analytical categories, the kind of register employed and the methodology applied, an outlook of the early history of cultivation at this region (ca. 4000-1500 BP) is presented, together with a reflection of the pathways that we take to address processes of the past.Downloads
