Environment and Resources: A Study About Gathering in La Quebrada (Catamarca, Argentina)
Abstract
In this paper current ways of obtaining and using firewood and clay in La Quebrada (Catamarca, Argentina) are studied. Its aim is to explore a set of social and cultural variables which take part in modelling these practices. Information about selection of materials, restrictions to their access, final use and organization and logistic of their gathering is obtained and analyzed through ethnographic methodological tools. We hope these data enriches the hypotheses on exploitation of resources for the studied archaeological contexts in the area.Downloads
