The role of political scientists in the national media in Spain today
Abstract
This paper studies the incorporation in Spain of political scientists into the media since the 2008 crisis, the role they play today and their perception of their impact. Through a questionnaire distributed among opinion directors or similar people in the media, and in-depth interviews with political scientists who regularly participate in national media, a shared idea of the work of political scientists in the media as a way of contributing to the improvement of public debate is found, as well as a series of recommendations to increase the impact.
