Abstract
Nowadays in which the crisis of Modernity –or the crisis of a straight way of understanding subjectivity and rationality– is no longer considered as a novelty, our purpose is to research other experiences, other ways of constituting subjectivity in the History of occidental ideas. In this sense, we have opposed the example that Montaigne sets up in his Essays to that presented by René Descartes.
