Abstract

Introduction. This article proposes to review and record a series of feminist criticism about symbolic-cultural dimension carried out from different historical and geographical contexts. Objectives. The general objective is to contribute to the construction of genealogies around feminist cultural criticism from a "race/class/gender perspective" (hook, 2015/2020). Methodology. Through a bibliographic review we carry out a theoretical analysis of articles, essays and books. Results. These contributions can be understood as part of an intersectional perspective in feminist cultural criticism. Conclusions and discussion. The study allows us to reflect on the validity of these theorizations some interpretations regarding the current stage of feminism, specifically in Argentina. In the context of a process characterised by various authors as “cuarta ola” (‘fourth wave’) and the recent presence of the “marea verde” (‘green tide’) in the streets, as an expression that accounts for the massiveness of the struggle in favour of The Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy Law in this country, finally sanctioned in 2020. We affirm that intersectional feminist cultural criticism can contribute to the understanding of a series of heterogeneous artistic productions and creative practices carried out from antipatriarchal perspectives.
