La diversidad lingüística en la era de la mundialización
Abstract
The notion of language diversity is deceitful and paradoxical. Even though there is now a deep consciousness that the languages of the world are a precious heritage, never before this patrimony has been so much endangered by the effects of globalization. On the one hand, English is now used as the hegemonic language in international exchanges and media; on the other hand, minority languages disappear at a quick rate. The article gives an insight into this geopolitical challenge that looks more like a political issue than a cultural one, all the more so when dealing with the situation linguistic minorities have to cope with.Downloads
