Abstract

The article raises an in-depth analysis on the possibilities that the Social Networks 2.0 offer to become a channel of communication of History. The study has been carried out on Twitter because its linguistic and structural characteristics represent a challenge to achieve an efficient dissemination of historical knowledge. However, Twitter offers the advantage of its popularity, more than 11 million accounts in Spain and more than 500 million worldwide. It is estimated that each day there are 65 million tweets and 800,000 queries
