Los inicios de la «cultura de masas» en Chile
Abstract
Contrary to the views of some historians that the October revolution was a coup d’etat carried out by Lenin, this paper argues that the Bolshevik revolution was, in fact, a mass upraising. By 1917 the Bolsheviks had the majority in the soviets of Russia and in other mass organisations. With support of the workers and of a good part of the soldiers the Bolshevik party had little trouble taking power. The victory in the civil war, fighting against an army helped by the main capitalistic powers, showed quite clearly that the Bolsheviks had the support of ordinary people, and Lenin did not need a coup d’etat to get into power.Downloads
