Communication for social change as a tool to integrate the immigrant population
Abstract
This article aims to analyze the contribution of the Communication for Social Change as a conceptual and practice area that has the potential to contribute to the integration of the immigrant population in the societies that host them. It is understood that the integration processes pose important challenges for both immigrants and the native population, while historically integration has been managed without taking into account the voices of the immigrant population. In this sense, the Communication for Social Change contributes to the recognition of these voices, taking into account their plurality and culture, and thereby helping to consolidate the Human Rights of immigrant population.
