The image of anti-Fascism. The propaganda representation of the wnemy of the Popular Front at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the republican and worker propaganda in Spain after the coup d'État of July 18, 1936 and the outbreak of the civil war. This study highlights above all the importance of the representation of the "enemy" in the construction of a "culture of war", pointing out the main semantic and discursive procedures used by the press in this regard.
