The comic book as anti-Communist propaganda during the Cold War (1947-1960)
Abstract
The Cold War was a new way of conflict between two blocs led by United States and the Soviet Union. Weapons are replaced by a psychological warfare to “win the hearts and minds” of the population. To achieve the victory will be all kinds of cultural media such as propaganda components, such as the comic, where stories were interwoven to extol the American way of life as opposed to communism.
