Innovation and consolidation of politainment: an historical perspective
Abstract
This article analyzes first politainment tv programme in Spain because of their relevant from the point of view of television history and the lack of scientific studies about this programmes. Based on studies of this television genre that have been conducted in recent years and specifically the characteristics (Berrocal et al., 2014; Berrocal, Campos & Redondo, 2014; Ortells, 2011), prevailing in current infotainment programs, this article seeks to analyse – from a qualitative point of view – the content of a sample of these pioneer programmes in order to detect if they were already present the characteristics of current politainment.Downloads
