Dissemination of the falangist ideology thrugh the articles dedicated to music in the magazinne Consigna (1941-1944)
Abstract
This article analyzes the messages appeared in the section dedicated to music on the magazine “Consigna”, published by the Women’s Section of the Falange, during the early Franco regime (1941- 1944). We wanted to check how the falangist ideological values that the regime was willing to promote among women and in the whole female child population were transmitted. It has been used a methodology based on the analysis of qualitative content, by establishing a thematic categories according to the ideological principles of Falange. Results are proving that music was a tool used either to teach the basic knowledge of the organization or to disseminate ideological massages in order to indoctrinate women and integrate them in the Francoist society.Downloads
