The capabilities approach and transversal skills: the case of economic studies
Abstract
In this article, after a summary of the theory of capabilities approach of Amartya Sen and Martha C. Nussbaum, we relate this theory to generic skills set by the EEES. Our goal is to analyze whether the fundamental capabilities have been included, or not, in the EEES generic skills, and to the extent and which of them have been developed. In order to carry out this analysis, we conducted a survey with students from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Murcia.Downloads
