Arthurian Narratives as Tools for Creating Television Series: Historical and Formal Standpoints
Abstract
This article fosters the use of Arthurian narrative frameworks as a tool for the creation of television series (a method tested in the undergraduate course Forms of Serial Narration). Its interest lies in the combination of supplementary methodologies, merging historical studies of Arthurian literature with scriptwriting and serial design terminology. The main goal is to make the most of the current interest on contemporary television series by linking them with the forms and structures of previous literary paradigms, exploring Arthurian literature as the historical precedent of serial narratives.Downloads
