Food advertising targeted to children: a study on type product
Abstract
This research studies the type of food product, based on nutritional content, on advertising targeted to children. It describes the claim, lunch time, aditional information and context. The methodology is content analysis of 133 food commercials aimed at children broadcasted in Spain in 2006. Unhealthy foods, claims about prizes / gifts, products presented in isolation and out of the five recommended meals, and protagonist enjoying of the consumption to the product are the main results of the research.Downloads
