Virtual assistants as a means of communication with older people suffering from loneliness
Abstract
The results obtained from the evaluation of the experience developed with virtual assistants as a support tool in the communication of a group of social workers responsible for a program to reduce loneliness in people over 65 years of age are presented. The purpose of this work has been to deepen the analysis of innovative communication strategies with integration of technology in social interventions. The evaluation of their impact contributes significantly to the growth of their effectiveness. The results of the study suggest that the integration of technology, in this case, "Alexa", is seen as a valuable and transformative strategy to improve communication and address loneliness in older people.
