Was Bachiarius Priscillianist? Polemics about the Soul in De Fide
Abstract
Bachiarius, in the section of the De fide dedicated to the soul, reacts against the suspicions of Priscillianism that hang over him, but some of his arguments also hint at an affection for certain postulates and hermeneutical traits close to Origen, although nuanced or amended by his more than probable Augustinian readings. The research also deals with the question of Traducianism in the Würzburg Tractatus.
