The "Latinitas Iuniana". Patrimonial aspects
Abstract
The article deals with the patrimonial aspects of an ancient Roman status, the Latini Iuniani, liberti who were freed through informal manumissions. The author focuses on the issues of law of succession. The lex Iunia and the senatusconsultum Largianum are points deepened in the paper, that analyzes the peculiar discipline of this kind of liberti until the age of Justinian (and subsequent representations), critically discussing the recent historiography on the subject.Downloads
