Imágenes que administran el tiempo
Abstract
The subjects of mass culture live an omnipresent condition of repetitions, where nothing ever happens “for the first time”. Sociology has recognized this attitude as “longing for the present”. This is the result of a policy of images which aims at a social control through the neutralization of the present. Similar results have been obtained in the Soviet Union by the Stalin propaganda, which may therefore be considered as an advanced experimentation in the political use of media images.Downloads
