An Experience about Details: the works of Lucio V. Mansilla and Cándido López
Abstract
This text is a comparative analysis of the works of Cándido López and Lucio V. Mansilla, regarded as two related ways of dealing with experience in art. In these works, a similar way to approach to experience might appear, particularly the experience of war as a journey and an encounter or confrontation with the other. This is expressed in the attention towards details, the unhierarchy, simultaneity, multiplicity and immanence that each artist handles experience with. Through an interdisciplinary attempt, these artists are taken as predecessors of modern art.Downloads
