Abstract

Our aim is to analyze to what extent writing works with values that could be those of inflection in the tale The Other, by Borges, as well as in other documents from this mentioned author. We will focus on Deleuze to figure out if this could be possible, and in particular, we will work with The Fold: Leibniz and the Baroque, by the French philosopher. Thus, we will go over the pages of some tales by Borges to follow the trail of how, in this author, writing (stained with autobiographic strokes) has traits that are typical from the perceptual knowledge. Beyond the fact that Borges might seem a Baroque writer, we find it extremely interesting to show how, in a specific author, writing works the differentiating attributes of narrative objects in the same way the eye works the objects that we notice. If so, we would come up with a lot of questions during the process.
