Abstract

Can we read The Merchant of Venice from a translating viewpoint? Derrida showed it in a short and unknown text (Qu’ est-ce qu’ une traduction “relevante”?). Our questions: How did he read it? Why is it mutilated? Is there in this concealed lack a new and revolutionary proposal?
