Abstract

In the early spring of 1481, Isabella the Catholic left Valladolid to undertake a journey to the territories of the Crown of Aragon, in whose cities and towns she was received and honoured on her first entries as queen consort. This article focuses mainly on the description and analysis of the ceremonies offered by the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona, providing new documents and perspectives in order to broaden our knowledge of this type of festivities at the end of the Middle Ages.
