El tratamiento de la realidad en dos novelas de Benjamín Jarnés
Abstract
Benjamín Jarnés, one of the main representatives of the «arte nuevo», rehearses in his El profesor inútil (1926) and in Paula y Paulita (1929), edited in Nova novarum, a narrative collection from Revista de Occidente, a method for approaching reality that allows him turning his life experiences into narrative material, turning the living task into the written task. This method, upon he build further novels and was called transubstantiation by him, considers time-living experiences, fictional living and invigorating of fiction as needed elements to define it. At the end, all it is about a round-trip journey from reality to fiction and back again to the narrative reality. The final outcome is a kind of fiction really false.Downloads
