Ecos sanjuanistas en la poesía última de Clara Janés
Abstract
Alter having outlined an overview of the studies appeared in recent years about the influence of Saint John of the Cross in the Spanish contemporary poetry, the article focusses its attention on one of the last books Publisher by Clara Janés, Los secretos del bosque, where the influence of the Carmelite is the most notorious. The article studies the book taking into account its connection with mysticism and, particularly, with Saint Jonh’s Cántico. Apart from some relevant textual debts, it is possible to observe a deep impregnation of the mystic discourse: the search for the Being, the negation as a path, the paradoxical formulation, the use of symbols, the dissolution of the identify, the alteration of space and time, etc. For all these reasons, Clara Janés’ book appears as a revision of mystical language, but departing from the tradition that lies beneath.Downloads
