Processes of creation and change in discursive markers: a diachronic perspective
Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to analyze, from a diachronic point of view, a group of constructions formed on the substantive base duda. Locutions such as sin duda have undergone a constructionalization process, through which they have been fixed as new elements, while a process of grammaticalization leads them to perform their function at the discursive level of language. Through this analysis we aim to understand these processes, to know the different stages through which they have passed and to offer a detailed panorama of their semantic, syntactic, pragmatic and variational characteristics.
