The "mundo actual" in a play by Diana de Paco Serrano: analysis of miscommunication in Su tabaco, gracias (2002)
Abstract
The objective of this article is to study a short text written by the playwright and researcher Diana de Paco Serrano. Through the play, Su tabaco, gracias (2002), the author presents, without renouncing the crude humour that characterises her theatre, the process of Miguel's madness, who suffers the consequences of a new society in which the invidious are no longer being listened to. Following the principles of Greek drama, here, the playwright presents a new model of tragedy, which is urban and contemporary, that speaks about of human miscommunication or the impact of technology and its consequences.
