The love relationship between the landscape and Sigüenza in "Años y leguas": lyrical novel by Gabriel Miró
Abstract
The novel by Gabriel Miró Años y leguas is one of the best lyrical novels that were written during the Silver Age of Spanish culture. In this article I will examine, firstly, the thematic and formal features which make of Años y leguas a model of lyric novel. Once the aesthetic coordinates of the work have been laid out, I then delve into the central contribution of the article: the proposition that in Años y leguas there takes place a loving dialogue between Sigüenza and the landscape of Alicante, which, humanized, assumes here the rank of main character.
