Presence and characteristics of the narratee in "Guzmán de Alfarache"
Abstract
The system of internal reception of the Guzmán is very complex and, due to its ambiguity, conditions the interpretation of the text in aspects as significant as the sincerity of the conversion. Above all, we must point out the system’s virtuality to create the novel since the text would be impossible without interlocution. In this paper we pay attention to the elements that display the existence of a narratee as a global receiver of the narrator’s autobiographical story, as well as to its basic qualities and manifestations.
