Confrontations between Queens and favourites in Spanish Golden Theatre
Abstract
The playwrights of the Spanish Golden Age Theatre reflect about power and politics, so there are many characters such as the king, the queen and favourites. These last ones are protagonists of very tense situations, because of the government –yearning of power– or because of love.
