Three writers faced with "Quijote": Javier Marias, Vladimir Nabokov and Thomas Mann
Abstract
The notes used by Javier Marías to prepare his classes about Quijote are the commencement of this article that compares his reading with that of two other writers: Vladimir Nabokov and Thomas Mann. These Cervantine publications by these three authors provide very valuable materials for the literary criticism because they demonstrate that the interest for a certain culture modifies significantly the point of view from which his different literary facts are analyzed. On the contrary, a work belonging to another literary horizon can end in a disdainful position or bring back a superlative appreciation.
