El análisis cualitativo de citas como instrumento para el estudio de la creación y transmisión de las ideas científicas

Abstract

This work is to be included in the context of the three functions that the Information Science discipline provides in service of scientific activity, that is, a knowledge development support function, a diffusion of scientific discoveries function and a science evaluation function, through the use of bibliometrics, and specially through quote analysis. The outcome of such an activity is what we usually name as scientific work, commonly broadcasted through publishing, becomes truly scientific when it offers new ideas and solutions to correctly proposed problems. The author highlights the targets of the article as: 1)Knowledge about how scientific ideas are broadcasted through the study of quotations; 2) Establishment of research lines of a given author. 3) Indication of chronological turning
